Can the introduction of webcams in voting tabulation rooms help provide greater transparency in the upcoming US elections? The State of Arizona are hoping that by providing live streaming webcams in their voter tabulation room that they can bring confidence back to voters who are concerned over allegations of rigged elections.

The U.S. State of Arizona are broadcasting live video and webcam coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week right up to election day on Tuesday 4th November 2008. The ballot-tabulations rooms across the 15 State Counties are hosts to the eyes of the world.

The U.S. State of Arizona passed a law in January 2008 that all counties across the state must provide and operate 24 hour streaming video webcams in their tabulation rooms any time they house voting ballots. They want to show 100% transparency and the integrity of the Arizona County voting system to every voter in Arizona and actively involving people of all ages in the election process.
