This camera is located in the attic of the
Girvan Town House, a local landmark on
Knockcushan Street, and overlooks Girvan harbour
which is home to some of Scotland's fishing
fleet on the Firth of Clyde as well as a variety
of resident and visiting pleasure craft.
You can see the Silvia Burrell, the local
all-weather lifeboat just behind the trees - on
Monday nights, just after 7pm you will see the
crew going out for training.
In the background you can see the Isle of Arran,
and on a particularly clear day, you can make
out the Mull of Kintyre, with Ailsa Craig (also
known as Paddy's Milestone due to it being the
halfway point to Ireland) just to the South.
