We visited munich both in 2008 and 2009. This is a city which has the capacity to entertain you almost every minute. Marienplatz with its old city hall (Rathaus) and placed high above, the famous Glockenspiel (life-size figures' dance) at 11AM and 5PM, Frauenkirche(Church of Our Lady), the well known department store 'Kaufhof', the multi story popular bookstore 'Hugendubel' and not too far away the famous beerpub/restaurant'Augustiner', numerous shops, various events and endless shows by street entertainers makes Marienplatz very lively and very popular with the tourists. And the good thing about it is-- this famous plaza is located only about 7 minutes walking distance away from the Hauptbahnhof (the main railway station), where most tourists of munich first arrive.

Just returned home to southern Arizona (USA) and miss Munich already! It's fun to see the central hub of the city from the comforts of home. It's too bad it's not a bit close up to see people's faces. Thanks so much! :)
