From the railway station (on foot, 5 - 10 minutes)Turn right out of the station down Station Parade to the corner of Cheltenham Park (about 100m). Round the left hand corner and first right (Commercial Street) immediately after the traffic lights. Straight down this road, over the cross roads and down the dip in the road. At the bottom of the dip turn left which brings you out on the main road (Kings Road) opposite the Conference Centre. Turn right into Kings Road. The Balmoral is a few hundred yards on the right.From Leeds (A61):Into Harrogate past the Stray (open grass park) to the Prince of Wales roundabout. Straight ahead (2nd exit to town centre and in the One Way system). Past Bettys tea rooms on the left, Cenotaph on right and keep in right lane down the hill to the traffic lights at the bottom. Turn right into Kings Road then keep in left hand lane. Do not take the right filter as this takes you back into town. Past the Conference Centre on your left and The Balmoral is a few hundred yards on the right.From Ripon (A61):Keep on the A61 the Royal Hall traffic lights. Turn left into Kings Road, keep in the left hand lane to avoid the filter lane into the town centre. Carry on along Kings Road past the Conference Centre on your left. Do not take the right filter as this takes you back into town. The Balmoral is a few hundred yards on the right.From Wetherby (A1/A661):Follow the signs to Harrogate, accross the first set of traffic lights to the first roundabout. Take the first exit. After about a mile, another roundabout (Prince of Wales Roundabout), third exit towards the town centre. Follow the One Way System past Bettys tea rooms on the left, Cenotaph on right and keep in right lane down the hill to the traffic lights at the bottom. Turn right into Kings Road then keep in left hand lane. Do not take the right turn as this takes you back into town. Past the Conference Centre on your left and The Balmoral is a few hundred yards on the right.From Knaresborough (A1/A59):Keep on the A59 through Starbeck and towards Harrogate. Straight ahead at the first roundabout. After about a mile you will come to another roundabout (Prince of Wales Roundabout), take the third exit towards the town centre and in the One Way System. Past Bettys tea rooms on the left, Cenotaph on right and keep in right lane down the hill to the traffic lights at the bottom. Turn right into Kings Road then keep in left hand lane. Do not take the right turn as this takes you back into town. Past the Conference Centre on your left and The Balmoral is a few hundred yards on the right.From Skipton (A59):As you approach Harrogate go straight ahead at the first roundabout. About a mile further on turn right onto the A61 at the next roundabout immediately after Great Mills DIY. Keep on the A61 all the way into Harrogate until you get to the Royal Hall traffic lights. Keep in left hand lane. Do not take the right turn as this takes you back into town. Past the Conference Centre on your left and The Balmoral is a few hundred yards on the right. |
