This family run Hotel is fully licensed and open throughout the year offering that little extra warm, comfort, cosy seating and lavish carpeting. Recently refurbished restaurant and bedrooms with exceptional bathrooms,its wealth of paintings, wall hangings and ornaments give the house that luxury associated with 5 star accommodation. Fully central heated with traditional open fires in both the residents hall/lounge and lounge bars. There is an a la carte menu available in the Darnells Restaurant the food is freshly prepared and innovatively cooked by our Chef Proprietor Jason Smith, the menu is focused around local fresh game, meats and fish. The elaborate oak panelled function room can comfortably seat up to 100 people, it is an ideal setting for conferences, wedding receptions, business entertaining, parties etc. The Hotel offers accommodation for those who wish to spend a few days in the peaceful atmosphere of the Eden Valley, yet ideally situated for touring the Lake District, Hadrians Wall, Carlisle The Great Border City with its Castle Museum and Cathedral only 20 mins away by car. Not forgetting Gretna Green and the Scottish Borders.

Only 10 minutes drive from the M6 motorway(exit 41 from the south)and follow signs for A6 Carlisle.Travel along A6 for approx 6 miles until short section of Dual carriageway turn right for Armathwaite and Ainstable.Follow signs for Ainstable.Enter village of Ainstable. New Crown Public House pass so it is on your left. Second left is driveway to Hotel.M6 South(Exit 42 A6 Penrith.To Dual carriageway and left for Armathwaite and Ainstable.Then as above.

Policy	A credit card is required as a guarantee. If booking is cancelled, the deposit is forfeited. If cancellation is within the 3 day required notice, the full amount will have to be taken. Any cancellation should be done via the internet followed by written confirmation. Unfortunately pets are not allowed, but there are Kennels just down the road.
