The Carlton Ambassador Hotel is situated in the green and historic 'Mesdag-quarter', amongst Embassies, museums, the Peace Palace and near to the city's shopping area. As the court capital and seat of Government, The Hague houses the Embassies and Consulates of 65 nations as well as many important organisations and multinational companies.Monuments, museums, historic buildings, and endless variety of shops and restaurants and trend-setting theatres emphasise the many-sided appeal of this magnificant city. All 80 rooms and suites are tastfully decorated in Old Dutch (Hindeloopen) or English Tudor Style. The facilities are all that you would expect from a 5 star hotel, but with the additional benefit of 3 telephone extensions and a fax/computer connection. Comfort is a priority with duvets, powerful thermostatic showers, heated towel rail, large bath towels and a bathrobe. The 'Rubens' Bar-Grill, with its informal ambience, is open from 4.00 p.m. for a drink or delicious grill meal. On Thursday and Friday afternoon between 17.00 and 19.00 we have a Happy Hour. The hotel has also a lovely terrace facing South where people can enjoy their cup of coffee and even a five course dinner. Within the hotel there are 3 fully air-conditioned banqueting rooms for receptions, dinners and weddings. TV in room, Shower/Bath in room, Trouserpress in room, Inhouse movie system, Bathrobes, Safetybox in room, Minibar in room, Tea and coffee making facilities in room, Some rooms have air-conditioning. Beautiful south-facing terrace for lunch, diner or just a drink, Parking, Bar, Restaurant.

ROUTE DESCRIPTION CARLTON AMBASSADOR HOTELFROM UTRECHT / ROTTERDAM: Turn left at the end of the highway (A12), than right at the first traffic lights directly to the left at the next traffic lights into Dr. Kuyperstraat.At the fourth set of traffic lights turn right into the Zeestraat. Follow this street and you will see that the Hotel is situated at your right, on the corner of the Sophialaan/Zeestraat. FROM AMSTERDAM / SCHIPHOL: Follow the signs to the Highway A4 (toward Den Haag & Rotterdam)At the highway split, follow the Highway A44 / N44 (toward Den Haag Centrum)Highway A44 / N44 will go through the town Wassenaar, just before ending in The Hague, continue following the signs to Den Haag Centrum.The highway will end (construction site on your right). At the traffic lights you turn right into the Koningskade. Immediately turn into the left-hand lane.Turn left at the first traffic lights into the Dr. Kuyperstraat.Follow this street (the name will change into Mauritskade).
