You can enjoy breakfast in the hotel.For other meals you can go to one of the many great restaurants in town There are so many that we are limiting us to the ones closeby. The hotel is situated close to the Tongerese straat, also known as "the Tongerese Poort" since it used to be the old gate to Tongeren. This famous restaurant street has quite a few good restaurants of different price levels and different nationalities.Most are restaurants with a mix of French/Belgian and Regional Kitchen, such as Au Coin des Bons Enfants, De Cuyp, Reube and our personal favorite Mes Amis. Then this street also has a good Thai Restaurant called Sukhothai and an trendy Asian fusion restaurant called Ginger. Even closer to the hotel (about 100 meters) is restaurant de Hertog, a cosey place that serves Belgian and regional dishes.Within a 2 minute walk (next to the Art Acadamy) is the Roxy's a top end restaurant with a wonderful french/international kitchen.Finding a drink is not a difficult task in Maastricht.The first bars are in within seconds to the hotel, and from there you can follow the trail of bars to the Vrijtof and beyond....

Each room is individually designed. All double rooms (twin or double bed) are spacious and have a nice designed colorfull bathroom with shower ensuite. Each room is equipped with tv, minibar, a sitting/working area and radio alarm. A mobile phone and hair dryer are available on request. Since we do changing art expositions in the hotel the wall decoration of the rooms changes a few times per year.Note that our rooms are non smoking.

The hotel is situated at less than 10 minute walk from the Vrijthof, the city's main square. The street the hotel is on has one restaurant and a few bars. Around the corner (5 minute walk)from the hotel you find the Tongerese straat,also known as the Tongerese poort: a street full with restaurants. Also in de Tongerse Straat you will find the main building of Maastricht University and the city park with the still largely intact old city wall. The hotel is also very close to the Maastricht Court House.If you like nature you only need to walk 10 minutes opposite direction from the Vrijthof and you will reach the beginning of a protected natural area "the Jeker valley". You can walk through this valley to the famous Sint Pietersberg or to the beautiful Chateau Neercanne.

Travel / Location:Coming from the North of the Netherlands- On the highway the A2; and coming from the East (from Aachen/Heerlen) on the highway the A79 (which merges with the A2 North of Maastricht).- When you arrive at the first lights on the Highway (A2), you turn right: direction Centrum/Ring Noord. Then you keep on going straight following this road. It becomes a bridge that takes you over the railroad tracks and the river Maas.- When you are driving down after the bridge you will arrive at a set of lights, closely after one another. You get into the left lane for the first lights and turn left at the second lights, direction Centrum/Vrijthof.- Follow this road till you arrive at a roundabout called the Emmaplein (with a church standing next to it). Turn left at this roundabout and go immediately right onto the service road.. This is the Hertogsingel. The hotel is after 50 meters on the right hand side.Coming from the South (on the Highway A2/E40/E25 (from Liege/Brussels/Verviers))-You drive on the highway and even before reaching the first traffic lights you turn right, exit Centrum/Ring Zuid/N278.- This exit is a strong bend onto a bridge passing over the highway you came from, over the rail road tracks and over the river Maas.-At the end of this bridge you will arrive at traffic lights. Go straight ahead throug the lights and the next lights and straight at the first roundabout, called the Tongerese plein. Now you are on the hertogsingel.- Go straight through the traffic lights. After 50 meters you will see the hotel on the left hand side.- To be able to park in front of the hotel, you go straight past the hotel, to the next roundabout: the Emmaplein (with a church next to it). You go all the way around the roundabout (360 degrees). Now you go back onto the Hertogsingel in the opposite direction. Please contact booking is you wish to book a 3rd bed.We serve 2 types of breakfast a continental (normal) breakfast in the room for 5 EURO per person and a generous breakfast buffet in our breakfast room for 9 euro per person.Breakfast is optional and does not need to be reserved, you can inform us about your breakfast plans at arrival.
