Hotel De Ville's owners have a culinary reputation to uphold after having started Restaurant De Pauw (1982), Restaurant Muller (1991) and the Groninger Museum-café (1994), all three still world famous in Groningen. In 1997 Bistro 't Gerecht was added to this collection. Our contemporary cuisine is basically French & seasonal, emphasizing elegant salads, really fresh fish, the best steak & chips in the city (we call it Bistro after all), fresh lobster from our lobster tank and the possibility of ordering most dishes in small portions. On warm days we serve in the hotel's garden.

Hotel De Ville's 67 rooms and suites all feature superior TRECA beds (210 cm), many pillows, 'Waterwerk' bathrooms with heated floors & warm towels, locally designed lighting by Albert Geertjes, windows that actually open, free high speed internet & a reasonably priced minibar.
