By car (from North): From "Autostrada del Sole A1" take the exit Firenze Certosa and then take the "Superstrada/Raccordo Firenze-Siena" . It takes about 40 minutes to reach Siena. Take the exit "Siena Ovest" and follow signs to "Stadio" going all over "via di Pescaia" (a large uphill road). When you are in the "Fortezza" area you can park your car in the public free parking or you can park in the Stadio fee-paying parking. the entrance of the stadio is in a square where is the San Domenico Church. you can take one of the entrance of the historical city centre along"via della Sapienza", a downhill road on your right hand side . that turns in "via delle Terme", after 100 meters you'll arrive in a square called "Piazza Indipendenza"where you can leave the car for 10/15 minutes and bring the luggages in hotel. On your right hand side you can see the Rozzi theatre, in front of you there is a large and short street. On your left hand side there is a small uphill street. Take this. You are in "via dei Termini" turn in Vicolo Pier Pettinaio at the end turn right and you'll be in the main street of Siena Via Banchi Di Sopra where in front of at Bar NANNINI at N° 15 you'll see our front door with a flower shop inside.the lift is in the court. By car (from South): Exit the A1 at "Valdichiana", and take the "Raccordo Bettolle-Siena". It takes about 40 minutes to reach Siena. When you are near Siena follow directions to Florence and exit at "Siena Ovest"; then follow the above instructions.

Siena ib about as close as you'll get to the perfect medieval city.It even stages the perfect medieval spectacle: the Palio,a breathtaking horse race around the Campo Square that takes place twice each summer on 2 July and 16 August.The only sensible way to get around Siena's walled,largely car-free centre is on foot.All roads eventually lead to the Campo Square,so it's best to follow your nose(or the signs)there first to orientate yourself and find the tourist information office,opposite the tall bell tower known as Torre de Mangia.The medieval city is built on three long ridges,each radiating out from the Campo Square like a three-legged starfish,and just about everythinh worth seeing is within the city walls. |

From the North:Highway “Autostrada del Sole”, exit “Firenze Certosa”Drive on “Superstrada Raccordo SI-FI“(Siena-Firenze). After approx. 40 minutes exit “Siena Ovest”;once you are in “Via di Pescaia”, a large uphill street, follow signs to “Centro-Stadio”. When you arrive at Fortezza, on your left hand side, you can park for free. Inside the stadium there is a paying parking from 7 am to 8 pm. From the same square, where the stadium entrance is located, “Piazza san Domenico”, you can access the historical area, only to carry your luggage.(We will advise traffic police) Take “Via della Sapienza – Via delle Terme” after 100 m you arrive in “Piazza Indipendenza”, where you can stop your car for the time needed to carry your luggage to the hotel. On your right hand side you will see “Teatro dei Rozzi”, on your left hand side turn in a small street “Via dei Termini”, then turn right in “Vicolo Pier Pettinaio”, at whose end you will find the main city’s street, “Via Banchi di Sopra”. Turn right and at n.15 (florist shop in the inner court), you will find RESIDENZA D’EPOCA PALAZZO FANI MIGNANELLI. The lift is in the court.From the South:Highway A1 exit “Valdichiana”, follow signs to “Raccordo SI-Bettolle”. After approx. 40 minutes you will arrive in Siena. Follow signs to Firenze, exit “SI-Ovest”, then follow instructions above. |
