A 19th Century Venetian Villa is being transformed into Hotel and completion of refurbishment is imminent. The new Hotel has been given the name Hotel Claudia Augusta in honour of the old Roman road which joined the ancient town of Altino with Germany, running right along the land on which the hotel is situated.A holiday at the Hotel Claudia Augusta enables you to fulfil your desire to enjoy the peace and quiet that a Nature Reserve can ensure. The Sile river being navigable and passing at the 'bottom of the garden', has given the proprietors the idea of taking advantage of pick-up points along the banks to transport clients right to St. Mark's Square, a unique two-hour panoramic cruise on a characteristic river-boat. A relaxing break with us after a long day's work will be even more pleasant in Winter snuggled in front of the fogher or in Spring and Summer in the pretty park, maybe having a taste of one of the many quality local wines coming from the famous Trevisan Cellars.Comprising 32 rooms , each of which has been given the best of modern equipment , such as air-conditioning, digital phone-lines, modem ports, satellite T.V. mini-bar and for the safety of clients, the best fire alarm system. To summarise, a Hotel with all credentials in order, to join the new millennium with a starring role. Set in its own private park of 6 hectares , in the near future with a swimming-pool and tennis courts , and immersed in the context of the agricultural firm that surrounds it, owned and run by the same family.The structure has retained the particular details typical to these antique Venetian homes, such as the distinct 'fogher' , the hearth around a large central fireplace, once the heart of domestic activity, now becoming fulcrum of the Hotel lounge.
