Barbieri, who was called *Il Guercino* because of his marked squint.He contributed, with his original and self-taught painting, to the important historical-artisitc period belonging to I Carracci, Guido Reni, Domenichino, Francesco Albani, Alessandro Tiarini and to many other protagonists of classical revival of italian painting.It is not by chance that the hotel is in Via Luigi Serra *he was a painter, too*, in a quiet area, behind the railway station, whose streets recall the names of the distinguished mentioned artists.
