Driving to Olympia by car is probably yhe easiest way to get here. The are two routes available if your starting point is Athens. The first is Via Patras (334KM). Tis is the road used by most travelers bacause it is close to the sea and you have some very beautiful imagery throuhout the journey.All you have to choose is the direction of Patras, then follow on to Pyrgos, and then Olympia.The second one is via Tripoli(323Km). This route will take you through the mountains of Korinthia, through Artemisio tunnel, and then down hill from there through the mountains of Arkadia. This trip is more demanding as there are more twists and turns to the road,but it is definitely a very wild and beautiful road to travel. |
