There are also rooms available with large balcony towards the river Rhine. In our house you can escape the hustle and bustle and noise of the city.Cyclists and hikers are most welcome. The restaurant is open from wednesday to sunday. Induldge yourself in our excellent cuisine, enjoy regional and international specialties in a neat ambiance.Parking on the car park is for free. Parking in a locked up garage: 5,- Euro per nightHigh-speed ADSL WLAN Internet connection available in the whole house. The price is 5 Euro for 24 hours of online-time.There is a shipping pier right by our house. From spring till autumn ships leave here for trips on Rhine and Moselle.

Koblenz is part of the UNESCO World Heritage "Upper Middle Rhine Valley".Beautiful hiking trails (e. g. "Der Rheinsteig") and cycling tracks surround the Hotel Restaurant Merkelbach. There is also a shipping pier at our house. From spring till autumn there are ships leaving for castle trips on Rhine and Moselle.
Travel Information
Hotel Restaurant Merkelbach is located at the right side of the river Rhine, about 500 Meter south of the bridge "Pfaffendorfer Bruecke". The city of Koblenz is on the opposite side of the Rhine.Coming from Express motor road A 61:Leave A61 at motorway interchange Koblenz and change to A48 (towards Koeln-Frankfurt). After 5,7 km take exit "Koblenz Nord". Follow B9 in direction Koblenz for 5 km. Cross the bridge "Europa Bruecke" and get to Koblenz city. Stay on main street (B49) for about 0,8 km. Cross the Rhine bridge "Pfaffendorfer Bruecke". Leave the bridge on right hand side (there is a traffic light for pedestrians); at the following U-bend don`t take the bend: follow the street straight on (Emser Strasse) for about 500 m and you have found Hotel Restaurant Merkelbach.Coming from Express motor road A 3:From A3 change to A48 (direction: Koblenz, Trier) at motorway interchange "Dernbach". Stay on A48 for 16,8 km and leave at exit "Bendorf / Neuwied". Change to B42 towards Koblenz (7 km). You pass fortress Ehrenbreitstein and 0,8 km further on leave B42 to the left (Pfaffendorf). Behind that departure: turn right and follow street (Emser Strasse) for 1,1 km.
