The Red Cross has stated that as many as 3 million Haitians have been affected by the earthquake, with as many as 100,000 deaths likely, according to Haiti’s prime minister. Since the quake’s epicenter was right off the capital city, Port-au-Prince, most of the official buildings, from government officials’ residences to jails and hospitals, have been significantly damaged or completely leveled. Google’s imagery shows exactly that:

The Haiti Google Map images, taken at about 10:27am EST, Wednesday 13th January 2010 are available as a KML overlay for Google Earth. They can also be viewed using Google Maps.
The difference between the images of Haiti’s streets before the quake and afterwards leaves no doubt about the extent of the devastation there: Whole city blocks lie in ruins.

Currently there are no live Haiti webcams operating in Haiti Hopefully some of the Earthquake relief organisations will be able to operate some live webcams in the capital city of Port-au-Prince in Haiti to allow Internet visitors to view the scale of devastation via webcams in Haiti Hopefully live web cams in Haiti will help to raise much needed money to support everybody affected by this Haiti Earthquake destruction as well as providing important support to the relief earthquake organisations currently assisting in Haiti
